Support Local Businesses on Shop Small Saturday, November 25.

Deep River has so much to offer as you stroll through our quaint little town. Check us out on the Saturday after Thanksgiving as so many of the shops will be offering discounts or having sales. And you will find many unique gifts as you peruse the options along Main Street (Route 154) between exits 4 and 6 off Route 9. Can’t decide? Most shops offer gift certificates. Weary after all that hard work? Don’t forget to stop, take a rest and have a nibble at one of the many eateries in the area. We look forward to seeing you!

2017 Holiday Stroll, Festival of the Trees and Jingle Bell Run – Dec. 8-9

There’s so much happening in our lovely little town on December 8th and 9th!

The Festival of Trees at the Deep River Historical Society’s Stone House (245 Main Street) begins with viewing and voting on December 8th. Come once again on the 9th to see who won.

Early on the 9th, get ready to run! The Jingle Bell 5K Run/Walk begins at 10:00 a.m. at Tri-Town Youth Services (56 High Street). Proceeds benefit the Region 4 Education Foundation.

Later on the 9th, the Annual Tree Lighting will be between 4:30-5:00 p.m. at the Town Hall (at the junction of Connecticut Routes 80 and 154). Before and after, visit the merchants as many will be offering specials in their shops. Details will soon follow on other evening events for families and children. And don’t miss the free concert, featuring the Old Tyme Players Band, at 7:00 p.m. in the town auditorium.

Join us for the fun!
